College Activist Trying to Ban KFC From Campus!

Not eating meat is indeed a statement, and a powerful one at that.

Raising animals for food is the #1 cause of global warming (according to the UN), and animals are often skinned and dismembered while still fully conscious when killed for food. I'd say those are two very solid reasons to promote a meat-free lifestyle.

I doubt anybody could watch the video at http://www.Meat.org and still tell me that this kind of abuse is acceptable in a modern society. Posted 08/13/2008 08:27 AM

Jason's campaign comes on the heels of a similar one at Florida Gulf Coast University, and students from all over the country are starting to organize similar petitions for their campus.

Jason Levy, President of Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals one of peta2's Star Street Teamers, Jason Levy, is leading an effort to ban KFC from his college campus! (Elgin Community College)
