The boys at CU Boulder’s chapter of the Delta Chi fraternity have caused a new ruckus. After being put on probation by Delta Chi for trashing a Super8 motel and leaving $10,000 worth of damages, the frat has now posted a sign outside of their frat house which offends some students. The sign reads “Delta Chi: We Get Girls Wet.”
The Delta Chi fraternity at CU Boulder is making headlines again, this time because of a controversial sign outside its fraternity house in Boulder.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper, the sign reads "Delta Chi We Get Girls Wet". There is a dunk tank being set up outside the fraternity house.
Some are upset about the double meaning of the phrase, especially because many women walk by the house in the University Hill area of Boulder…
New students may not be aware that Delta Chi has been expelled from the Interfraternity Council.
Certainly little about the conduct of the Delta Chi boys seems like it would get anyone wet, but at the end of the day, why not laugh over a little bravado and arrogant double entendre?
Right now there are more important issues at the CU schools, like the arrest of campus police officer Todd Vecellio for soliciting sex from an undercover cop mother and her thirteen-year-old daughter. Perhaps the university should stop worrying about childish signs and start worrying about background checks.
