Now that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have left Saturday Night Live for good, they've quickly filled the cast holes with two new ladies, Abby Elliot and Michaela Watkins, and they're both pretty hot (as seen above). So that got us thinking, in its 30+ year history, who have been the hottest funny girls to come across the show? We've ranked them below and have a much needed gallery above.
12) Maya Rudolph
You’ve probably seen her most recently as a questionable Michelle Obama, but Maya’s been around longer than you think, starting way back in ’99 with her Whitney Houston impressions.
11) Jan Hooks
Before there was Poehler’s Clinton, there was Hooks doing the very first impression of the First Lady. She had a five year stint on the show working alongside Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and others.
10) Gilda Radner
One of the original cast members way, way back in ’75, Gilda Radner worked with Chevy Chase, John Belushi and Dan Akroyd. If you can ignore the hair craziness, she’s actually pretty damn cute.
She often feuded with others on the show, at one point calling Adam Sandler’s comedic stylings “childish.” Really? No way. Garofalo described her stint on SNL as “being the Indian given the blanket infected with smallpox by the cavalry.” Wow.
8) Nancy Walls
Who’s that douche in the picture? Yes, she’s Steve Carell’s lovely wife, but before she was guest spotting on The Office, she got her comedic start on SNL back in ‘95.
Yes, we didn’t realize she was on Saturday Night Live either. Nearly a decade before she hit it big on Seinfeld she worked out of NBC studios, where she met Larry David and well, the rest is history.
6) Amy Poehler
She’s hot in kind of an “I’m your crazy stalker ex-girlfriend” way. She’s now left the show to take care of her new kid, but we’ll always remember her great Hilary Clinton throughout this election season.
She started in ’81 and did a wicked Princess Di impression. She’s acted ever since, and back in the day was quite a knockout.
Another “she was on SNL?” moment here. You might not remember her because she was fired from the show after only one season because only one of her sketches got past dress rehearsal and none of them ever aired.
3) Tina Fey
Oh Tina, where to start. She’s the fantasy of geeks everywhere, mainly because she’s as dorky as they are. Her sexy librarian glasses served her well once Sarah Palin same on the national scene. We’ll miss you Tina, but we’ll always have 30 Rock. We hope.
2) Kristen Wiig
Now that Fey and Poehler are gone, Kristen Wiig is the go to cute/funny SNL girl. And seriously, she’s really cute and funny. She’ll have to show these new girls how it’s done.
The New Zealander starred alongside Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) on a British sketch show until she joined SNL in ’84. She was known for her Madonna, Joan Collins, Cyndi Lauper and Billy Idol impressions. Oh also, she’s ridiculously hot.
