I'll never understand these damn vegetarians. I mean, what good could come out of not eating meat, in terms of a political "movement"?? What do you expect? Do you really think companies are gonna stop butchering and selling it? Of course not!

Like much of our politicians on the traditional Left and Right, this is merely a symbolic gesture to make activists feel 'good', as if they're actually doing something meaningful. They know full well banning KFC's not gonna do a damn. Besides, I have the right to ****ing eat meat if I want. How dare you try to dictate what's good for me or anyone else and ban it.

Not eating meat is indeed a statement, and a powerful one at that.

Raising animals for food is the #1 cause of global warming (according to the UN), and animals are often skinned and dismembered while still fully conscious when killed for food. I'd say those are two very solid reasons to promote a meat-free lifestyle.

I doubt anybody could watch the video at http://www.Meat.org and still tell me that this kind of abuse is acceptable in a modern society.

For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three. Posted 08/13/2008 10:42 AMReply
