We're not really American Idol fans, but the first few weeks of the show are perhaps the biggest train-wreck on television, and worthy of your viewing. If you don't like watching delusional people
Sure, this is a Penn State blog, but since UPenn isn't holding up their end of the bargain, sometimes we have to cover the whole ****ing state. American Idol came to the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia in August and according to Nigel Lythgoe in today's Philadelphia Inquirer, over 20,000 people showed up. But Lythgoe says the ratio of people to talent didn't hold up. The Inquirer says that at least one spoiler website has two Philly area residents in the top 24 in Hollywood.
But really, who cares. We're just going to watch to see people sing off key and hear Simon tell them off. Plus, what else are you going to watch, the Democratic debate? Puh-leez!
