Let’s face it—when kids first go away to college, more than half of the time they go buck wild. This includes: hooking up/having more skanky sex than usual, experimenting with drugs, and definitely being on your way to become a certified alcoholic. No one really goes to college looking for serious relationships. College kids just want to d*** around!

This leaves hopeless romantics out of pure luck.

BUT—one couple managed to come out of the rough college dating scene well-alive, and successful.

Frances Turcotte, 26, and Leo Benedict, 27, are two college sweethearts from the State University at Stony Brook who got married earlier this month in New Hyde Park, New York. The pair just earned their medical degrees last month and according to The New York Times, each newlywed will be interning at a medical institution this month.

Dr. Turcotte graduated from Cornell and Dr. Benedict graduated from Tufts University. Frances’husband also serves on the board of the Stony Brook University Medical Center. His father (a gynecologist) and his mother (a registered nurse) both work together in the same private practice in Uniondale, New York.

I say way to go Frances! You sure know how to pick them. Who doesn’t want to date a successful doctor?!
