Chivalry: Dead Or Alive?

With the hook-up as the new relationship, I have to wonder if chivalry is dead altogether.
According to a discussion topic on Facebook, many consider the following, forms of chivalry, while others consider them simple acts of courtesy:
1) Opening/holding the door for a girl
2) Taking car

Who woulda thunk it? The safest city in the world is capable of producing some parties beyond the typical drinking-in-the-elementary-school-park type event. It's no IV, but it'll do -- at least for this weekend
