Over the weekend, pranksters decided to make light of the serious business that is the Presidential Election by promoting an election in a galaxy far away.

WARNING: The rest of this post WILL contain geeky Star Wars references.

Stenciling has always been popular (See: Giant Man, Moonites, etc.), but never like this. All over campus, wooden signs could be seen with various Star Wars characters spray painted on, with election style signage. Among those include an AT-AT decked out to look like a party mascot, Senator Palpatine erging you to put the "Empire First," Lando Calrissian telling you he "won't gamble with your trust," and a Storm Tropper begging you to "Keep Our Boys Safe," along with a promotion for Vader/Palpatine '08.

It seems to me like this election could get as heated as the McCain/Obama debates. Were there any more signs I missed? Send us pictures, and let us know what side you are taking in the comments!
