Cheap(er) sex isn’t encouraged by Boise State University. As told in an article on the Chronicle of Higher Education website, university officials asked that coupon books sold at the university be removed due to a 20 percent discount coupon at O!Zone Condom Shop featured in the booklet.
An executive of College Coupons instead had temp workers tear out the offensive coupons one by one over the course of two days and redistributed them.
But why were these offensive? Why did the university want them removed?
Sorry to break it to college admins, but students are having sex. Surprise.
Condoms are a legal and popular product that, if promoted, makes sex safer and healthier for all people. Featuring them in a coupon book will not cause students hormones to go wild. It is as if the university believes that allowing indifferently placed coupons for condoms will cause critics to say they are encouraging promiscuity.
Boise has succeeded in digressing a few decades.
On the other hand, UCLA should start to market the condoms above. I’m guessing they would be pretty popular.
