UC Rejects Those Who Reject Evolution

UC Rejects Those Who Reject Evolution

Is the UC system anti-God? Or just anti-bad-science?

A federal judge recently ruled that the University of California can deny course credit to applicants for some courses taken at Christian high schools.

Amidst cries of religious discrimination(!) and the oppression of free expression(!) the courts say that the refusal is not based on classes having a religious viewpoint, but rather that these courses leave out important topics and do not teach critical thinking.

In fact, the university accepts some classes based on textbooks that contain religious ideas, but it’s just ones like “Biology for Christian Schools,” which says on the first page that, “if (scientific) conclusions contradict the Word of God, the conclusions are wrong.” Right.

If students aren’t looking for an unbiased, secular education perhaps the UC schools aren’t the best option in the first place.

Get thee to a nunnery!

Both creationists and evolutionists contradict themselves and neither point has been proven anyway. I don't know why EITHER persist. The ruling was unneccessary and way off base. Posted 08/17/2008 01:44 AMReply
