Diploma Fraud in the Government

Diploma Fraud in the Government

Tsk, tsk… federal employees may be using fake diplomas.

According to the AP, immigration officials are investigating employees who may have bought a phony degree from a Spokane, Wash.-based diploma mill. The Spokesman-Review has a complete list of people who bought degrees from this fraud factory. And, from the looks of it, no one seems out of the realm of possibility. The list of names includes people with .gov, .mil, and even .edu email addresses.

Someone working at your college may have lied about going to college!

The degrees, which could have been used to get around immigration laws or help employees get promotions and raises, come from such bogus schools as St. Regis University, James Monroe University, and Robertson University. Other fake degrees were sold in the names of legitimate colleges, like the University of Maryland, the University of Tennessee, Texas A&M and George Washington University.

Does this mean members of our government may not have been entirely truthful? Frankly, I am shocked.
