Brandon Tate Out for Remainder of Season, Ends NCAA Career

UNC-CH senior receiver Brandon Tate is out for the rest of the season, ending his college football career.

Tate limped off the field Saturday during the first quarter as the Tar Heels took on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  He has been diagnosed with a torn ACL.

Tate led the NCAA in combined kick-return yards with 3,523.

Without Tate, one of UNC-CH's biggest offensive threats, the Tar Heel offense will have to step up their game more than ever.  It's time for the receivers to "pull a Cameron Sexton," if you will.
