Chivalry: Dead Or Alive?
Promote this post on Yahoo! Buzz

With the hook-up as the new relationship, I have to wonder if chivalry is dead altogether.

According to a discussion topic on Facebook, many consider the following, forms of chivalry, while others consider them simple acts of courtesy:

1) Opening/holding the door for a girl
2) Taking care of the bill on a date
3) Walking on the side closest to the street
4) Giving her your coat when she’s cold
5) Letting her go first (“Ladies first.”)
6) Carrying her things for her
7) Offering her your seat on the train/bus

I know many guys who still do some, if not all, of these things. Girls, however, don’t always appreciate their kind gestures. Why not? Are they offended or insulted? Do girls NOT expect guys to be courteous? Are guys just wasting their time? Is chivalry dead? Let me know your thoughts!
