Every campus is unique, but some have very specific tastes when it comes to drinking. If you hang out with the party crowd from any of these campuses, you will be drinking the "campus drink" at some point in the evening. I got the low-down on the "signature" drinks or cocktails at some of the hottest campuses.

As a representative of the UW-Madison, we go first in the line-up. The students are high energy and off the wall. The party scene is amazing and we are always on the "Top Party Schools" list.


University of Wisconsin at Madison: Red Bull & Vodka
Madison students love their Red Bull and Vodka, in other words we try to induce heart attacks. Get the party going with a couple of these (we've all pre-gamed with them) and head out!

Howard University: Jack & Coke
This is the official drink of the famed Howard Homecoming extravaganza! Students kick back and enjoy the festivities with this drink; they like it with a lot more Jack than Coke.
Hot Spots: Lotus Lounge, Blue Gin


San Diego State: Margarita made with Hornitos Tequila
As a homage to the spicy Latinos in California, the students like to take Ms. Margarita straight to the head. On the rocks or the blended frozen version.

Boston University: Beer
So the bean-town residents aren't too frilly, they like their drink made of barley and hops. Don't make fun of the Boston choice, or you may get caught with a fighting Irish man -- possibly just an overzealous Red Sox fan.

University of Vermont: Rye Whiskey with Ginger Ale
This green campus likes a drink that's a little unheard of, Rye Whiskey, which is usually consumed by men in their 60s, is slightly bitter and has a harsh kick down the pipes. Not a bad idea, mixing it with ginger ale. The idea is to soothe your stomach while you destroy it.

Arizona State University: Jager Bomb
Drop the shot and chug it! This drink will have you on the floor, if you're not paying attention. At ASU, they have a couple of rounds of Jager bombs and then the real party begins.

Ohio State: Cherry Bombs & O-Bombs
Again, we've got the fans of the "bomb" drinks. I guess these Ohio State kids like to go home early; these drinks hit the system fast. Anything with "bomb" at the end is going to leave you plastered on the side of the road somewhere with unidentifiable substances smeared in unmentionable areas.
