Scientists Create Software That Makes You Better Looking

..Yes, even you. Scientists in Israel have developed a software they dub the "beautification engine". Upload a headshot, and the software uses algorithms and formulas to change the size and proportion of facial features to "beautify you." Unlike photo retouchers, the program does not smooth wrinkles or alter color--it simply morphs your face around, kind of like the special features in Apple iPhoto.

According to the scientists, the program is designed to specifically consider your face size, color, and shape, and alter accordingly. Of the thousands of images they have run through it, only one, of actor and Columbia student James Franco, remained unchanged. Way to go, J. Franc!

The scientists hope this software will become relevant and used by advertisers, in television and movies, and by plastic surgeons. Luckily for us, the software is not yet available to the general public, preventing swarms of pre-frosh college students from beautifying their Facebook pics pre-orientation and setting loose a plethora of disgruntled eHarmony customers.
